Mental Health – Update

Church communities are safe spaces where people can find support, and talk about mental health and wellbeing.

We recognise during the Covid crisis the uncertainty, stress and lack of routine can be a threat to mental health. Loneliness is a huge contributor to poor mental health. Through our partners across the country we’re making sure that people are not left isolated through telephone buddy systems, supporting churches to run their services online, and even finding ways to run Places of Welcome virtually!

Although awareness of mental health has improved in recent years, those affected are still broadly misunderstood, and now even more isolated. The Together Network is actively involved in creating the means to reach out and help those in need.
