APPG Enquiry on the Impact of Covid-19 on Isolation

A few weeks ago, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Social Integration launched an inquiry into the impact of COVID-19 on social isolation.

They wanted to know what issues COVID-19 has created for isolated groups, how we as an organisation are responding, what challenges we have faced, and what good practice we can share from what is happening in communities.

Based on insights and stories from our Near Neighbours, Together Network, and Just Finance Foundation teams on the ground, we created an evidence submission for the APPG inquiry.

In it we highlight some of the key challenges we have observed in communities around digital exclusion, financial insecurity, and loneliness, as well as the disproportionate impacts on BAME communities. We also share some of the creative ways CUF and our partners are responding creatively, including through our Covid Cash Course, #peopleofhope campaign, and virtual and phone support to faith and community groups across the country.
