ESOL Conversation Café Group Visit the Peak District
Some of the learners from the English Conversation Cafés that form part of the ESOL support provided by the Fresh Start Project at Together for Change went to the Peak District for the day.
Fresh Start Coordinator Matt Robinson led the expedition, taking the group walking alongside the river at Dovedale, before climbing up to the summit of one of the hills.
Commenting on the day, Matt said 'Very few of them have had the chance to visit much of the English countryside before! The guys all loved it, and one Eritrean man said “I grew-up in the mountains of Eritrea but haven’t seen any for a long time. It was wonderful for me to be out in nature like this, and it really felt like home"'
