Update: The GRA:CE Launch 2020

More than 450 people attended the successful (online) launch of the GRA:CE Project.

The event was open by a video message of the Most Reverend and Right Honourable, the Archbishop of York and Primate of England, Stephen Cottrell, and introduced by the author of the report, Hannah Rich.

There was a lively and rich discussion on the report and its recommendations with Rev Graham Hunter, vicar at St. John’s Hoxton, Rt Revd Philip North, Bishop of Burnley, Richard Springer, Rector at St George-in-the-East, Director of the Urban Leadership School at the Centre for Theology and Community, and Dean of Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Ministry for the Stepney Area, Dr. Grace Davie, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Exeter and author of Religion in Britain since 1945: Believing without belonging, and Julia Unwin DBE, Chair of the Independent Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society (2017-2019), Former Chief Executive of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

In the coming weeks, we are going to produce practical tools to disseminate the findings of the report to a wider audience and to help dioceses and parishes incarnate a mission that keeps social action, discipleship and church growth together.
