About Us

The Together Network has roots in the Church of England and works with organisations and individuals from all faiths, cultures and backgrounds who seek the common good. Our staff team includes those of Christian faith, other faiths and those of no faith all working together with shared values.

The legal employer for this post will be the Church Urban Fund, which currently consists of The Together Network, Near Neighbours and the Just Finance Foundation as subsidiaries. CUF is an inclusive organisation with a diverse workforce, where diversity is seen as an asset to our organisation, helping us to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all.

About the Role

Funded by The Allchurches Trust, we are looking to launch a volunteer-led homelessness prevention programme launching in Spring/Summer 2022, specifically designed to help people in insecure housing or at risk of homelessness to move forward in life.

The role will be home based with the option to work from offices in, and occasional travel to, London, Nottingham, Manchester and Plymouth. The programme aims to support clients with low and mid-level needs who would benefit from support from Volunteer community mentors in order to overcome social isolation and related barriers to tenancy sustainment, connecting people with activities and opportunities in their community and providing practical support through the ups and downs of recovery from homelessness or insecure housing.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for the implementation, management and development of the Programme, building strong partnerships with delivery partners, referral agencies, internal stakeholders and support functions to maximise the positive impact of our work. They will lead on developing and maintaining the educational content and supporting tools, materials and support regional co-ordinators (managed by and embedded with our regional partners) to ensure the programme maintains its high standards while increasing its reach.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in poverty-alleviation, preferably within the homelessness sector or experience in a volunteer management role with experience of working in a multi-agency environment and developing partnerships. This role offers high levels of autonomy and the opportunity to contribute at both operational and strategic levels, as well as working as part of a friendly and supportive wider team managing programmes including Financial Education, Youth Leadership and Grant Giving.
