Place of Welcome Celebration!

There are now over 30 Places of Welcome across the Diocese of Chester!

Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute.

These are hosted mainly by churches but also by libraries, community centres and voluntary organisations. Transforming Lives Together provides support to Places of Welcome such as getting started, accessing training and meeting up with other providers.

Transforming Lives Together decided it was time to say thank you to all the committed, hard-working, welcoming volunteers and staff and held a celebration event at Chester Cathedral on 25thSeptember. Over 50 people attended from 14 Places of Welcome and enjoyed tea and cakes in addition to being presented with wooden branded plaques from Archdeacon Mike Gilbertson. The plaques were kindly made by Chris Biglands (the Together Network Brand Manager) and were very well received!
